Wonderful books. I really love all three for different reasons, really. They are one huge masterpiece.

It was really annoying when I read the first two and then I found out that dad didn't own The Return of the King. I had to wait a few weeks after finishing the previous book...It was very annoying.

I would have gone out and bought it. That's what I did with Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging. My teacher didn't have On the Bright Side I am Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God, so I went out and bought it. Now, I just put everything on hold at the library unless the wait list is too long. If the wait list is too long, I just buy the book. Makes me have a nice, big library of my very own at home. Fortunately, Dad did have all of the Lord of the Rings books... I think the Return of the King is my favorite, although I like the feel of Fellowship of the Ring the best.

I did end up buying the book...but I wanted to make sure we didn't have it before buying it.

Yes, we have three versions of every book except The Hobbit.

BAHA!!! These books must have taken a lot of thought to create. It did take several years to write! Such patience Tolkien had! There must be something in these books that he really wanted to get across to people.
