Of all this Disney songs, this one has the most hard core love meaning for me. It's lyrics are wonderfully written; and with so much meaning! It's not a fun, joyful song like A Whole New World, but more of a heart-felt declaration of love. To some it up, it's a very adult love song. Smith: If I never knew you If I never felt this love I would have no inkling of How precious life can be
And if I never held you I would never have a clue How at last I'd find in you The missing part of me
In this world so full of fear Full of rage and lies I can see the truth so clear In your eyes So dry your eyes
And I'm so grateful to you I'd have lived my whole life through Lost forever If I never knew you
Pocahontas: I thought our love would be so beautiful Somehow we made the whole world bright I never knew that fear and hate could be so strong All they'd leave us where these whispers in the night But still my heart is saying We were right
Pocahontas: If I never knew you If I never knew this love I would have no inkling of How precious life can be
Smith: There's no moment I regret Since the moment that we met If our time has gone too fast I've lived at last...
Smith: I'm so grateful to you I'd have lived my whole life through empty as the sky
Pocahontas: Never knowing why
Both: Lost forever If I never knew you

I'm glad they at least included it in the soundtrack, even if not in the movie at first... I'm also glad they made a movie and put it in as a scene.

Yes, it was better than not having it at all. I was so into this song back in '99. I listened to it over and over on vacation.

I like how intimate it is in such a modest setting. An indian hut... Who would have thought?

I would be scared out of my mind to be in an Indian hut knowing I was going to die the next day...I would be scared out of my mind to in an Indian hut period!!!
